Lecturer Digital Publishing 0.8 FTE (maternity cover up to 1 year FTC)

The Role: We are currently looking to recruit a part time maternity cover Lecturer Digital Publishing in the Media team who are part of the Creative Industries with outstanding industry-standard facilities. The area is successful and delivers high levels of engaging teaching to learners through a dedicated team of teachers, facilitators, and technicians. Key Responsibilities: We are looking for someone with teaching experience and industry knowledge in the Digital Publishing/Graphic Design sector, specifically. You would need to hold a related degree and the relevant teaching qualifications, as well as possessing strong IT skills. These would need to be in general office applications and also specifically in the Adobe CC suite, including Adobe InDesign, Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator. We would welcome expertise in UI and UX interactive design as well. You will need to be able to work under pressure, prioritise tasks effectively, and communicate well at all levels and be committed to quality service, student-centred culture, and continuous professional development. The right candidate should be able to deliver strong, focused lessons centred on the Publishing industry, have the practical skills to develop the students' own skillset in layout, image manipulation and illustration and be confident using our dedicated resources as a part of your teaching and learning.
