The Role:
New City College is seeking a committed and inspiring Lecturer in Business to join our dynamic teaching team. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the delivery of high-quality education across a range of business programmes, including college-based qualifications and workforce development, from entry level to Level 3 and foundation degree level.
You will play a key role in shaping the future of our learners aged 14–19 and adult students, helping them develop the skills and knowledge needed for academic and career success.
Key Responsibilities:
· Deliver engaging and effective teaching across a range of business subjects, including BTEC and foundation degree programmes.
· Act as a personal tutor/course coordinator, supporting students’ academic and personal development.
· Contribute to curriculum development in line with national standards, local needs, and employer expectations.
· Prepare and assess learning materials, monitor student progress, and provide constructive feedback.
· Participate in student recruitment, admissions, enrolment, and induction processes.
· Liaise with employers and external agencies to support student placements and career progression.
· Maintain accurate course records and contribute to quality assurance and review processes.
· Uphold safeguarding, equality, and health and safety policies.
Who You Are:
· A degree in Business or a related field
· A recognised teaching qualification
· Experience teaching a broad range of business subjects, particularly within the RQF BTEC Business Framework.
· Strong communication and organisation skills, with a student-centred approach to teaching.
· A commitment to inclusive education and the ability to support learners from diverse backgrounds.
· Team-oriented with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues.
