About this role
Notting Hill & Ealing High School, one of London’s leading independent girls’ day schools, has an exciting opportunity for an inspirational, well-qualified and dedicated Learning Support or SEND specialist who is passionate about helping academically able, neurodivergent students thrive in a high-performing school environment.
This is a role for someone who enjoys being part of a warm, intellectually curious and highly supportive environment — combining expert SEND practice with meaningful day-to-day impact on students’ confidence, independence and long-term success. You will join an outstanding and expanding department to support students with individual differences to ensure that all pupils have full access to the curriculum and are enabled to achieve their potential in school and beyond.
Day to day, you will deliver tailored 1:1 and small-group learning support sessions, develop personalised strategies for study skills, executive functioning and exam preparation, and work closely with teachers to ensure students can fully access the curriculum. You will also help manage pupil profiles, support exam access arrangements, monitor progress and contribute to a culture where inclusion and neurodiversity are actively championed across the school community.
Beyond specialist teaching, the role has a strong pastoral and collaborative dimension. You will build close relationships with students, parents and colleagues, act as a Form Tutor where required, attend pastoral meetings and contribute to wider school life, from assemblies to enrichment activities.

You will be a qualified Learning Support or SEND specialist with strong experience supporting neurodivergent students in an academic setting. You will need a good honours degree alongside a recognised SpLD qualification — ideally Level 7, or at minimum Level 5 equivalent — plus a confident understanding of evidence-based learning support, executive functioning and inclusive teaching strategies.
