About this role
The role
Wingfield Academy is seeking a talented, enthusiastic and passionate Learning Support Practitioner to join our team on a permanent basis.
As a Learning Support Practitioner, you will work within our Learning Skills Hub, supporting students who experience barriers to learning. These barriers may include learning difficulties, behavioural needs, social and emotional challenges, and disabilities. Working under the guidance of the SENCO, you will take a lead role in planning and delivering SEMH interventions, while also providing wider support to meet the individual needs of our students.
The successful candidate will have experience of working in an educational setting and a strong understanding of the challenges faced by young people aged 11–16. You will be able to support students with their learning, contribute to personalised programmes of work, and deliver evidence-based interventions that help remove barriers to progress. The ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues and families is essential, as is a commitment to supporting the wellbeing, development and achievement of every young person.
