About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated Learning Support Officer to support learners aged 16–18 within our Study Programme team. You will provide academic, pastoral and wellbeing support to help learners overcome barriers, stay engaged and achieve positive outcomes to reach their full potential. The anticipated start date is late August 2026.
Working closely with teaching staff, support teams, parents/carers and external agencies, you will deliver tailored support that promotes inclusion, independence and learner success. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference in young people’s lives within a supportive and inclusive environment. We welcome applications from candidates across London, Essex and Kent - the role is primarily based at Medway Adult Education, Community Hub, Eastgate, Rochester ME1 1EW, with additional duties supporting the Gravesend Town Centre cohort as required to meet business needs.

What You’ll Do
Support learner inductions, onboarding, and first-day engagement
Maintain accurate learner records, including updates on OneFile and internal systems
Provide in-class support to help learners stay focused, motivated, and engaged
Adapt learning materials to meet individual needs and learning styles
Support learners with study skills, time management, and independent learning
Promote confidence, wellbeing, attendance, punctuality, and positive behaviour
Identify barriers to learning and coordinate appropriate interventions
Signpost learners to internal and external support services, includin
