About this role
We are seeking a dedicated Learning Support Officer to join our Study Programme team to support learners aged 16–18 to achieve their full potential. This role combines academic, pastoral, and wellbeing support to help students overcome barriers to learning, remain engaged, and progress successfully. Working closely with teaching staff, support teams, parents/carers, and external agencies, you will provide tailored support that promotes inclusion, independence, and positive learner outcomes. We welcome applications from those across the southeast in London, Essex and Kent.

What You’ll Do
Support learner inductions, onboarding, and first-day engagement
Maintain accurate learner records, including updates on OneFile and internal systems
Provide in-class support to help learners stay focused, motivated, and engaged
Adapt learning materials to meet individual needs and learning styles
Support learners with study skills, time management, and independent learning
Promote confidence, wellbeing, attendance, punctuality, and positive behaviour
Identify barriers to learning and coordinate appropriate interventions
Signpost learners to internal and external support services, including financial or wellbeing support
Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, pastoral teams, and external professionals
Liaise with parents/carers where appropriate to support learner progress
Support safeguarding, welfare, British Values, and personal development activities
Monitor learner progress and contribute to intervention plans to keep students on track
