Learning Support Assistants: SEND

Penistone Grammar School is seeking to appoint x4 Learning Support Assistants to join our amazing SEND team, supporting and working with students with a variety of special education needs. Contract: Permanent, full-time Hours: 35 hours per week Monday to Friday, term time (39 weeks) - working times to be agreed between core hours of 08:00am-16:00pm) Salary: Actual salary of £21,733 to £23,165 pa (Grade 4, SCP 7-11 £26,403 to £28,142 pa FTE) Start Date: September 2026 These roles will involve supporting students with SEND to succeed and thrive as individuals. Support for these students will be provided in line with agreed individual Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs). You will work with students with a variety of special educational needs and disabilities in different curriculum areas across school either in the classroom or in small groups. SEND needs may include emotional , behavioural, physical, learning, medical and/or communication difficulties. Experience of working with young people with SEND needs would be advantageous.
