About the Role
We are looking for a Learning Support Assistant to join our Senior School Inclusive Learning team, supporting pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting young people and helping them to develop confidence, resilience and independence. You will work closely with pupils, teachers, families and other professionals to help pupils access learning and make the most of the opportunities available to them.
What you will do
Provide individual and small-group support to pupils with SEMH needs, helping them to engage positively with learning and school life.
Build positive, trusting relationships with pupils and provide consistent support according to their individual needs.
Support the day-to-day running of the SEMH rooms and provide a safe and supportive environment for pupils.
Promote pupils' inclusion, confidence, independence and resilience.
Monitor pupil progress and engagement, maintaining appropriate records and sharing feedback with relevant staff.
What we are looking for
Experience of working with young people, ideally those with SEMH and SEND
An understanding of SEND and strategies that can support pupils' learning, wellbeing and engagement.
