Learning Support Assistant

We are currently seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join our team and help support pupils with additional learning needs. Position: Learning Support Assistant Type: Full-time, Permanent Role Overview: As a Learning Support Assistant at Queensbridge Primary School, you will work closely with the class teacher and other staff to provide targeted support for a child who requires extra help with their learning. Your role will be vital in providing 1:1 support to the pupil to overcome barriers to learning, enabling them to participate fully in classroom activities. Skills and Qualifications: - Minimum of 1 year experience working as a Learning Support Assistant or in a similar educational support role - Good understanding of child development and special educational needs (SEN) - Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team - Strong communication skills, both verbal and written - Patience, empathy, and the ability to build positive relationships with children - Basic IT skills for supporting learning activities Values and Attitudes: - Commitment to promoting equality, diversity, and inclusion within the school community - A positive attitude towards continuous professional development - Respectful approach when working with children, parents/carers, colleagues, and external professionals - Enthusiasm for supporting children's individual needs while encouraging independence If you are passionate about making a difference in children's lives through education support roles, we would love to hear from you.
