Required from July/September 2026 Learning Support Assistant (Level 3) 27.08 hours per week, 5 days per week (Mon - Fri 8.40am - 3.25pm during term time, 39 weeks per annum (term time, plus one week - INSET and After School Events) Grade C, Scale point 4 £25,185 pro-rata for part-time hours - actual starting salary £16,331 Plus membership of Local Government Pension Scheme Temporary - linked to funding Job Share hours may be agreed for the right candidates Positions available at both Notre Dame and St Boniface's supporting students in classrooms and on a 1:1 basis. We invite applications for Learning Support Assistants to join our SEND departments in our secondary schools; Notre Dame Plymouth (all girls years 7-11 and mixed post-16) and St Boniface's College (all boys years 7-11). The post will involve working under the direct instruction of teaching/senior staff to support access to learning for students. Knowledge, or experience, of working with children with special needs would be advantageous. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to begin or continue their career as an LSA; for suitable candidates, a Teaching Assistant qualification can be offered via distance learning under the apprenticeship framework.
