Role Purpose:
· To assist and support pupils with additional learning needs
Main duties and responsibilities:
· Provide additional support for all identified pupils across different areas of the curriculum
· During in class support, ensure that all pupils can integrate as fully as possible in activities in the classroom
· Contribute to all identified pupils overall progress across different areas of the curriculum
· Implement IEP and learner profile targets for students and deliver interventions as directed by the inclusion teacher
· Monitor, record and report progress of IEP targets and interventions on ‘Planning sheets’
Supporting pupils
· Make and adapt resources and learning materials to suit the needs of all students
· Manage student behaviour in line with school behaviour policy or pupils bespoke behaviour policy
· Provide learning support for pupils within the classroom and in withdrawal situations, either 1:1 or small groups
· To develop knowledge of the particular needs of identified children and seek advice from the Inclusion Lead, inclusion teacher and class teacher
