About this role

Fixed Term until 14 May 2027 (linked to funding for a Year 11 pupil) 20 hours per week, Monday to Friday, aligned to pupil timetable (term time only) Loughborough High School is seeking a dedicated, enthusiastic, and personable 1:1 Learning Support Assistant to support a Year 11 pupil. This role is funding-dependent and will run until 14 May 2027. We are looking for someone with warmth, energy, and personality who can build a strong, positive relationship with the pupil and play an important role in their daily school experience. A key part of the role will be to meet the pupil at the start of each day, support a positive and settled start to learning, and ensure they attend lessons promptly and are ready to engage. You will support the pupil in accessing the curriculum, developing independence, and achieving their full potential academically, socially, and emotionally. This is a pupil-specific role, with working hours aligned to the pupil’s timetable. There is no requirement to provide support during unstructured times (break and lunch). Experience of supporting children or young people, particularly those with SEND, is desirable but not essential.
