Featherby Partnership Schools are seeking a caring, motivated and committed Learning Mentor to join our dedicated team and make a lasting difference to children and families.

About The Role

You’ll support pupils who may face barriers to learning, helping them build confidence, resilience and the skills they need to thrive academically, socially and emotionally.

Working closely with teachers, families and external agencies, you’ll provide targeted mentoring and pastoral support, building trusted relationships and helping children feel valued, understood and ready to learn.

As a Learning Mentor, you will:

  • Provide individual and small-group mentoring and pastoral support
  • Help pupils overcome barriers affecting their learning and wellbeing
  • Develop and review personalised support to meet individual needs
  • Promote confidence, resilience, independence and positive attitudes to learning
  • Support pupils through key transitions and changes
  • Work collaboratively with families, colleagues and external agencies

  • Is passionate about supporting children facing additional challenges
  • Has high aspirations and believes every child can flourish
  • Builds positive, trusting relationships with children and families
  • Can motivate pupils and adapt support to individual needs
  • Is calm, patient, resilient and a strong team player
  • Is committed to safeguarding, inclusion and pupil wellbeing

Experience in a school, pastoral, mentoring, youth work or family support environment would be desirable.
