About this role

The Turing School Lead Practitioner PayScale (LP10-14) 32.5 hours per week Start Date – September 2026 Interviews: 21st May 2026 The Turing School is seeking to recruit an excellent Lead Practitioner to lead the Maths department. You may be an experienced teacher looking for your next step in leadership. We believe in developing the capacity of our staff and the successful candidate will be given the opportunity to participate in CPD that will enhance knowledge and support growth. We are particularly interested in employing a candidate who has a strong, forward looking vision for the Maths department. The candidate will: Be an outstanding teacher with the drive and capacity to really thrive in this role and to become an exceptional leader. Have a clear vision of how to improve standards in Maths. Have the ability to teach and lead across both Key Stages 3 & 4. Be able to lead, motivate and inspire students and colleagues. Be resilient, hard-working, solution focused, and committed to transforming student outcomes.
