Lab Technician

Lab Technician – August 2026 Start Glendale International School (GIS), Dubai Job Purpose: The Lab Technician supports the smooth running of science laboratories across Chemistry, Biology, and Physics. The role involves preparing materials for lessons, maintaining equipment, and ensuring a safe and organized lab environment for students and staff. Key Responsibilities:Prepare and set up equipment, chemicals, and materials for science lessons as required. Assist teachers during practical sessions when needed. Prepare basic solutions (acids, bases, salts) following standard procedures. Ensure all chemicals are stored, handled, and disposed of safely in line with guidelines. Clean up spills safely and maintain general lab cleanliness. Maintain laboratory equipment and arrange for minor repairs where needed. Clean and sterilize glassware and equipment after use. Keep track of laboratory supplies and inform the department when stock needs replenishing. Support with ordering materials and keeping simple inventory records. Help supervise students during practical activities when required. Provide basic support and guidance to students in the lab. Assist with general school activities such as field trips if needed. Carry out other reasonable tasks as required.
