About this role

We wish to appoint from September 2026 a well-qualified teacher able to teach a Key Stage 2 class to cover the sabbatical leave of one of our colleagues. The successful candidate will be able to enthuse and excite our pupils, while demonstrating a genuine commitment to providing a stimulating, supporting and fun-filled learning atmosphere. Candidates should have QTS, as well as a readiness to support our extensive co-curricular programme. As a School we are heavily committed to providing a workplace where staff can develop their skills and advance their career. The successful candidate will have the chance to contribute to School development, and to benefit from CPD opportunities. The Form Teacher has day-to-day responsibility for the pupils in their Form, both in terms of their classroom learning and pastoral care. Relating well to colleagues, parents and pupils in every aspect of school life, you will help to ensure the academic, spiritual, social and emotional development of the pupils by creating a vibrant, stimulating and meaningful classroom environment. You will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and up-to-date knowledge of current educational thinking and practice in addition to an impressive mixture of professionalism, energy, enthusiasm and good humour. Familiarity with the requirements of the London I I+ Consortium examination, Common Entrance and the syllabus for scholarship examinations would be an advantage. Additionally advantageous would be familiarity with the requirements of national testing schemes, e.g. NFER and CAT tests.
