We are seeking an exceptional Junior School Teacher of EAL who believes that every child should have the confidence, language and support they need to participate fully in school life and flourish academically. This is an opportunity to help shape a school from its very first day: establishing excellent EAL provision, building an inclusive and vibrant learning community and creating an outstanding educational experience for every child. Our Junior School offers an enhanced English National Curriculum enriched through specialist teaching, creative exploration, languages and a broad co-curricular programme. We are looking for an EAL teacher who combines excellent classroom practice and expertise in language acquisition with warmth, intellectual curiosity and high expectations, and who understands that children flourish when they are deeply known, appropriately supported and given the confidence to express their ideas, think independently and enjoy learning. As a founding member of staff, you will play a significant role beyond your own teaching. You will work alongside ambitious, collaborative colleagues to develop our approach to EAL across the Junior School, support colleagues in meeting the needs of multilingual learners, contribute to school culture and help establish the systems and practices that will define the school for years to come.
