OVERVIEW OF JOB
To provide a high-quality, customer-focused IT support service to staff and students at Bosworth Independent School, ensuring the effective operation of the School's technology infrastructure and digital learning environment. The postholder will provide first and second-line technical support, maintain IT equipment and systems, and contribute to projects that enhance teaching, learning and administrative efficiency. This is a customer-facing role requiring excellent communication skills, technical competence and a commitment to safeguarding and data security.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIESTechnical Support
Provide first-line and second-line support for hardware, software and network-related issues.
Respond to support requests in accordance with agreed service levels.
Diagnose and resolve technical faults or escalate complex issues where necessary.
Support users with Microsoft 365 applications including Outlook, Teams, OneDrive and SharePoint.
Assist staff and students with access to school systems, user accounts and passwords.
Maintain accurate records of support requests and resolutions.
Classroom and Educational Technology
Support classroom technology including interactive displays, projectors, printers and audio-visual equipment.
Assist teaching staff in the effective use of educational technology.
Ensure teaching spaces remain fully operational and equipped for learning.
Support online learning platforms and digital assessment systems as required.
Infrastructure and Systems
Assist in maintaining the school's network infrastructure, servers, wireless networks and internet connectivity.
Support routine system maintenance, updates and security patching.
Help monitor system performance and identify issues before they affect users.
Assist with backup, recovery and disaster recovery procedures.
Device Management
Prepare, deploy and maintain staff and student laptops, desktops, tablets and mobile devices.
