ABC British Academy is seeking to appoint an outstanding and dedicated Islamic Studies Teacher (for Non-Arabic Speakers) to join our growing and successful school community. We are looking for an educator who is passionate about Islamic education and committed to delivering engaging lessons that inspire students and promote a strong understanding of Islamic values and principles.
The RoleThe successful candidate will:
Teach Islamic Studies to non-Arabic speaking students in accordance with UAE Ministry of Education requirements.
Plan and deliver engaging, well-structured lessons that support student progress and achievement.
Create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Assess, monitor, and report on student progress effectively.
Contribute to curriculum planning and school improvement initiatives.
Support the wider life of the school through enrichment activities and events.
Build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
RequirementsBachelor's Degree in Islamic Studies, Sharia, Islamic Education, or a related field.
Recognised teaching qualification (B.Ed., PGCE, Diploma in Education, or equivalent).
Experience teaching Islamic Studies, preferably within a British or international curriculum school.
Strong classroom management and communication skills.
Excellent spoken and written English.
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting student wellbeing.
ADEK Eligibility RequirementsApplicants must meet ADEK appointment requirements, including:
A relevant Bachelor's Degree aligned with the subject taught.
A recognised teaching qualification.
UAE Equivalency for qualifications where applicable.
A valid IELTS Academic certificate in line with current ADEK requirements for teacher licensing and approval.
Eligibility to obtain ADEK approval and all required employment clearances.
