About this role
Marchant-Holliday School is looking for a dedicated, warm and enthusiastic Integrated Therapy Assistant to join our expanding integrated therapy team.
This is an exciting opportunity to play an important role within our specialist SEMH provision, supporting pupils with their communication, sensory regulation, emotional wellbeing, cognition and learning needs.
Working alongside our Speech and Language Therapist, Occupational Therapist, School Counsellor, Integrated Therapeutic Practitioner for Play Therapy and Counselling, SENCo and senior leaders, you will help turn specialist therapeutic advice into practical support that makes a difference throughout the school day.
Salary: NJC Scale SCP 8 £26,842 to SCP 14 £29,540, depending on experience
Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week
Working pattern: Term time only, plus 10 days during holiday periods
Start date: As soon as possible
Your responsibilities will include:
Supporting assessments and intervention programmes
Preparing therapeutic and communication resources
Recording, tracking and monitoring pupil progress
Supporting pupils’ communication, sensory and learning needs
Working alongside classroom teams to model practical strategies
Helping staff embed therapeutic approaches into everyday routines and learning
Supporting assessment administration and accurate record keeping
Contributing to a collaborative, multidisciplinary approach to pupil support
Our therapy provision is integrated into everyday school life, so this is a varied and practical role. You will work closely with pupils, therapists, teachers and other school staff to help ensure therapeutic strategies are consistently applied.
Integrated Therapy Assistants are the bridge between specialist assessment, therapeutic planning and everyday classroom practice.
