About this role
We are looking for an experienced and forward-thinking Inclusion Manager to strengthen SEND and EAL provision across our family of schools, helping to ensure that every pupil receives the support she needs to thrive.
Working within the Education Directorate, you will help turn our Trust-wide ambitions for inclusion into consistent, evidence-informed practice across GDST schools. This is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact at scale, working with school leaders, SENCOs, EAL coordinators and specialist colleagues to strengthen inclusive teaching, targeted support and outcomes for pupils.
What you’ll be doing
You will support the development and implementation of the GDST’s approach to inclusion, with a particular focus on SEND and EAL. You will develop practical frameworks, guidance and resources for schools, while keeping colleagues informed about relevant developments in legislation, policy, research and effective practice.
You will work directly with schools to provide expert support and constructive challenge, helping leaders evaluate the quality and impact of their provision. This will include analysing data, contributing to quality assurance and school review activity, supporting inspection readiness and helping schools meet their statutory responsibilities.
You will also lead and support Trust-wide professional networks and learning opportunities, enabling colleagues to share expertise and develop strong, inclusive practice across the GDST. The role includes line management responsibility for the Trust Consultant Teacher for SEND and EAL and the International Students Network Chair.
What skills and experience you’ll bring to the role
Qualified teacher status, or equivalent relevant professional experience within education.
Significant experience of leading or coordinating SEND provision, ideally as a SENCO or within a whole-school leadership role.
Experience of supporting or developing provision for pupils with English as an Additional Language.
