IGCSE / DP Computer Science - JOB DESCRIPTION
North Zealand International School, a school committed to academic excellence and holistic learning, is seeking a passionate and dedicated Computer Science teacher to join our dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity for any candidate who is enthusiastic about developing our learners’ digital literacy and computational thinking skills across our Secondary school.
Depending on qualifications and experience, the successful candidate will teach in the IB Diploma Programme and/or IGCSE courses. We welcome applications from teachers with experience in either level.
In addition to teaching responsibilities, further roles and responsibilities may be included in the position offered, depending on the candidate’s background and strengths.
JOB ROLE
Deliver high-quality Computer Science teaching across our Secondary school, including the IGCSE and/or IB Diploma Programme curriculum, according to teaching allocation
Plan and deliver engaging lessons and assessments that develop students’ computational thinking, programming skills, and digital literacy, meeting the needs of diverse learners
Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes problem-solving, creativity, logical reasoning, and innovation in computing
Collaborate with colleagues to develop the Computer Science curriculum and share best practice within and across subject departments
Monitor student progress and provide regular feedback to support academic achievement and personal growth
Prepare students effectively for IGCSE and/or IB Diploma Programme Computer Science examinations, as appropriate to the role
Build positive relationships with parents and the wider school community to support student success and engagement in Computer Science
Demonstrate creativity, enthusiasm, and a passion for Computer Science teaching and learning, with a commitment to ongoing professional growth, reflective practice, and openness to feedback
