About this role
We are seeking an experienced and proactive ICT Technician to provide an efficient, high-quality first-line response support service to staff, pupils and visitors of Place Partnership. This is a vital role focused on driving the continuous improvement of ICT facilities and services across all our academies.
As an ICT Technician, you will act as a primary point of contact for all technical support related queries, delivering timely, solution-focused assistance to staff and pupils to minimise disruption to learning. You will be responsible for resolving tickets logged on the ICT helpdesk, including devices, logins, software, printers, and classroom technology, administering secure user accounts for pupils and staff, and diagnosing and resolving common ICT issues efficiently and professionally. Working collaboratively with senior colleagues and line managers, you will further execute routine system maintenance on Academy ICT equipment across all our Academies, ensuring it is clean, functional, and ready for use.
The role further includes responding to support requests via phone, email and in person in a timely manner, and escalating complex technical issues to senior colleagues when necessary. The right candidate will foster a proactive, solution-focused culture within our team, sharing technical guidance to support the ongoing professional development of colleagues and the wider school community.
This post will be based across the West Hub, working across our 5 academies in Wakefield.
