IB MYP/National Curriculum English Language Acquisition Teacher

I-Shou International School, located in Taiwan, is a dynamic learning community committed to providing an excellent international education. We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated English Language Acquisition Teacher to join our team, commencing August 2026. This position focuses on teaching English language learners within the IB Middle Years Programme (MYP) as well as teaching students following the National Curriculum. Interested candidates must hold a passport from a country in which English is an official language and possess a current and active teacher registration/license authorizing them to teach in public schools in their home country or elsewhere. Position: IB MYP/National Curriculum English Language Acquisition Teacher Education Stage: Middle School /High School Department: English Subject: English Language Acquisition Position Type: Full-time Teacher Responsibilities: - Deliver engaging and effective English language acquisition lessons aligned with the IB MYP framework and National Curriculum standards. - Support students’ development of listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills in English. - Collaborate with colleagues to design units that enhance language learning. - Assess student progress regularly and provide constructive feedback. - Foster a positive classroom environment that encourages risk-taking and confidence in using English. Skills and Qualifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Education, Linguistics, TESOL/TEFL or related field. - Minimum of 1 year teaching experience working with middle school and high school students. - Familiarity with the IB MYP curriculum is preferred. - Strong understanding of second language acquisition principles and strategies for differentiated instruction. - Excellent communication skills in English both written and spoken. - Ability to use technology effectively to support teaching and learning.
