About this role

The View School is an Independent Special School providing education for young people with Social Emotional and Mental health difficulties, including a diagnosis of Autistic Spectrum Condition, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, Oppositional Defiance Disorder, Pathological Demand Avoidance & Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, during the Secondary and Post 16 phases of education. Judged “Good” by Ofsted, our aim is to provide our students with the confidence and resilience to meet the challenges that act as barriers to their education and impact upon successful outcomes in their everyday lives. The successful candidate will be a valuable part of our school community, able to work as part of our enthusiastic and friendly team, supporting students in all areas of their development and school life We are looking for an enthusiastic Humanities specialist who can deliver engaging, challenging and high‑quality lessons across History, Geography and Religious Education from Key Stage 3, You will play a key role in driving excellent outcomes for students and lead a rich, diverse Humanities curriculum. As part of our dedicated team, you will: · Deliver well‑structured, high‑quality lessons that motivate and challenge all learners · Demonstrate strong subject knowledge and a love for Humanities that inspires curiosity and achievement · Use effective assessment strategies to monitor progress and help every student thrive · Uphold the highest standards of behaviour, safeguarding and professional conduct · Contribute to curriculum development and the wider life of the school community · Work with a dedicated Humanities TA in both the planning and delivery of lessons Whether you are experienced or an ECT, we welcome applications from teachers who are committed, reflective and excited to grow within a collaborative and supportive environment.
