Post: Humanities & RE Lead Teacher Location: GAIL, Wheatridge East, Abbeydale, Gloucester, GL4 5DF FTE Salary Range: MPS 1 - UPS 3 + TLR2A; £32,916 - £51,047 + £3,527 + £2,787 Contract Type: Permanent, full time Contract Hours: 32.5 Hours per week, Monday to Friday To Find out more about the school please use the following link to view our Applicant Pack -GAIL Applicant Pack About the role As Head of Humanities & RE, you will: Provide strategic leadership across Humanities and Religious Education Set and communicate a clear vision and ethos that raises standards and aspirations Lead, manage and develop a team of staff through coaching, mentoring and performance management Ensure consistently high-quality teaching and learning across all subjects and key stages Be accountable for student progress, tackling underachievement and promoting inclusion Oversee curriculum design, assessment, accreditation and enrichment opportunities Contribute to whole-school development, self-evaluation and inspection readiness Teach your subject area to a high standard alongside leadership responsibilities You will be accountable for curriculum quality, student progress, staff development and the effective use of resources, while championing wellbeing, safeguarding and inclusive practice.
