Worth is seeking a dynamic and experienced Human Resources Manager to lead a high-quality HR service that supports our organisational goals and safeguards our community.
Reporting to the Chief Commercial Officer, you will oversee and contribute to the HR function, drive best practice in people management, and help ensure Worth continues to attract, develop and retain top talent.
This leadership role focuses on delivering a high-quality, compliant and forward-thinking HR service.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and develop the HR team to deliver an effective, high-performing HR service
Partner with senior leaders to support organisational strategy and performance
Ensure compliance with employment law, safeguarding, and safer recruitment practices
Oversee all aspects of HR operations including:
Recruitment and onboarding
Employee relations (disciplinaries, grievances, restructures, tribunals)
Payroll, benefits and workforce data
organisational learning and development initiatives, including training and induction
deliver and enhance the reward and benefits offering
Manage departmental and staffing budgets
Provide HR insights, metrics and reporting to inform decision-making
About You
You will be a confident and credible HR leader with strong operational expertise.
Essential
Graduate calibre with CIPD Chartered Membership
Proven HR management experience in a complex organisation
Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice
Experience managing budgets and leading teams
Excellent communication, analytical and organisational skills
Strong understanding of safeguarding and safer recruitment practices
Desirable
Experience within an education or independent school environment
Experience managing payroll and HR systems
Experience in leading and delivering projects
Strong coaching and people development skills
