A background teaching a range of Social Studies courses across multiple High School grade levels, including AP courses, is desirable. Experience designing future-focused, authentic learning experiences that connect students with real-world and industry contexts is also highly valued, particularly within our Applied Learning program. The exact teaching assignment will be based on the candidate’s expertise and the needs of the Social Sciences/History team. Other preferred attributes include strong collaboration, inclusive planning and instruction, and contributions to a positive, student-centered culture and climate. In order to meet Concordia school-wide learning outcomes (SLOs) and grade level expectations, the teacher carries out the following broad and specific responsibilities across the following domains: Planning and Preparation, Classroom Management, Instruction, and Professional Responsibilities.
