Experience teaching other Science courses across multiple grade levels, including AP courses, and familiarity with NGSS standards are also desirable. The exact teaching assignment will be determined based on the candidate’s skills and expertise and the needs of the current HS Science team. Experience designing future-focused, authentic learning experiences that connect students with real-world and industry contexts is also highly valued, particularly within our Applied Learning program. Other preferred attributes include experience with design thinking, strong collaborative teaming, integration of inclusive practices in planning and instruction, and contributions to a positive, student-centered culture and climate. In order to meet Concordia school-wide learning outcomes (SLOs) and grade level expectations, the teacher carries out the following broad and specific responsibilities across the following domains: Planning and Preparation, Classroom Management, Instruction, and Professional Responsibilities.
