About this role

Griffin Primary School is seeking a highly organised, proactive and committed Admin & HR Lead to join our vibrant and inclusive school community. This is a pivotal role within the school’s operations, ensuring the smooth running of the office, leading essential administrative systems, and overseeing day-to-day HR functions. The successful candidate will be an ambassador for our school—warm, professional and aligned with our values, vision and ethos. The HR & Administration Lead provides strategic and operational leadership for the school's HR, recruitment, compliance and administration functions, supervising the Admin Assistant and ensuring efficient business operations. The role is 25 hours a week, with 9:30 - 2:30 being the core hours. Due to the nature of HR work within a school, there will be occasional requirements to attend meetings, hearings, training or INSET outside the postholder's normal working hours. Sufficient notice will be provided wherever possible and additional hours will be paid or taken as time off in lieu in accordance with Trust policy. The role includes includes: Overseeing the daily administrative and organisational processes of the school office, including supervising the Admin Assistant. Managing all day-to-day human resource processes within the school, maintaining confidentiality at all times, under the guidance of the Principal. Acting as one of the initial points of contact for parents, visitors and stakeholders, serving as an ambassador for the school and embodying its values, vision and ethos. Ensuring efficient and effective business operations, including supply chain, procurement, and service delivery processes. You will work closely with the Principal, administrative assistant and wider school teams to ensure efficient, safe and effective school systems.
