About this role
We are looking for enthusiastic, proactive and caring individuals to join our boarding team as bank staff. This role is well suited for anyone who is interested in working within education or the caring professions such as nursing or medicine, or anyone with experience in these areas and finds working with young people rewarding.
This flexible, “as required” role providing cover during peak periods and for absences and offers the chance to make a real difference in the lives of our students while working within a warm, collaborative team. You’ll work flexibly across shifts of up to 8.5 hours between 7am and 11pm, with the option of sleep-in duties between 11pm and 7am.
What You’ll Do
As a House Parent, you’ll play a vital part in creating a safe, nurturing and inspiring home for our boarders. You’ll help students settle into college life, support their academic routines, and guide them as they develop independence ahead of university and beyond.
Your role will include:
Building strong relationships with students and supporting their academic, social, emotional and personal development
Upholding welfare, safety and behaviour expectations
Monitoring attendance, curfews and daily routines
Helping to run a vibrant programme of clubs, weekend trips and social activities
Maintaining accurate records and ensuring key house systems run smoothly
Providing first aid and supporting unwell students alongside the House Matron
Supporting students with Special Education Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and social, emotion and mental health needs
Contributing to wider school life, including trips, events and celebrations
