Hockey and Netball Coach (Part-Time) Hilden Oaks Preparatory School & Nursery Start Date: September 2026 Working Days: Wednesday and Thursday afternoons (term time only) Hours: Approximately 12:30pm – 5:30pm About the Role Are you Kind, Brave and Brilliant? Hilden Oaks School is seeking a skilled, energetic and committed Hockey and Netball Coach to join our vibrant sports programme. This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate coach to inspire young pupils, develop their skills, and foster a love of sport in a supportive prep school environment. You will be responsible for delivering engaging and high-quality coaching sessions to pupils across Key Stage 2 and, where appropriate, supporting fixtures and team development. A willingness to support cricket in the summer makes this a year round position. Key Responsibilities Plan and deliver fun, inclusive and structured hockey and netball sessions Develop pupils’ skills, teamwork, and confidence Prepare teams for matches and lead inter-school fixtures for these sports, including minibus driving Promote sportsmanship and a positive attitude to competition Ensure the safety and wellbeing of all pupils during sessions The Ideal Candidate Will Have: Experience coaching hockey and/or netball to primary-aged children A recognised coaching qualification A positive, energetic and encouraging approach Strong organisational and communication skills A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children Minibus driving licence What We Offer: A warm and welcoming school community Well-motivated and enthusiastic pupils Supportive staff and fellow coaching team Supportive parents Safeguarding Statement Hilden Oaks School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
