HLTA – Nurture and OPAL Lead ​

Acre View Primary School is seeking to appoint a dedicated HLTA – Nurture and OPAL lead Salary Band: £27,630 - £31,064 (pt 18-21) Working Hours: 35 hours per week Contracted Weeks: 44.6 Weeks (Term Time Only), Permanent Contract. Closing date: Monday 29th June at 9am Acre View Primary School, is a new school which has been purposefully rebuilt and remodelled in the beautiful village of Lydiate, Sefton. We support pupils with social and communication difficulties, including Autistic Spectrum Condition; complex learning, sensory and emotional needs, across a range of cognitive abilities. Flexibility, humour and willingness to go the extra mile are essential for all staff to ensure a high standard of support for all our pupils. The HLTA works alongside the nurture class teacher to support and deliver nurture based provision, leading learning during planned cover and ensuring consistency and emotional security for pupils . The role also leads on OPAL across the school promoting inclusive play-based outdoor learning that supports pupils’ social, emotional and physical development. You will: Be able to build sound, professional relationships with pupils Be committed to working with children with SEND Have experience of teaching pupils and enabling progress, you will be able to explain and demonstrate this Have a track record of successfully delivering learning opportunities to young people.
