Hours: 35 hours per week, to be worked from Monday to Friday between 8.30am-4.00pm.

Pathways School is a specialist Social, Emotional and Mental Health school from Years 1 to 11. Pupils receive a sector leading education with access to the full national curriculum made accessible through the delivery of specialist adaptations. This role is based at Pathways School, New Road, Dagenham, RM9 6PH
Main purpose
The HLTA role will involve leading the teaching and learning for whole classes in the absence of the class teacher and for specific group and individual interventions. The successful candidate will be responsible for the planning of learning opportunities and tasks when needed, including the marking and assessment of pupils’ learning for KS1.
The HLTA will be expected to lead on aspects of the wider support worker team.

You have good numeracy, literacy, and ICT skills (GCSE Level 4 or equivalent in English and Maths is desirable)
Has at least 3 years’ experience in SEND/SEMH school setting.
Has experience of successfully leading group and individual programmes and interventions that impact on pupil learning.
You have the ability to work with a range of children and young people with additional and complex needs
Has a good knowledge of the primary curriculums.
You are a team player who can build good working relationships with colleagues
You are flexible, enthusiastic, and resilient, with a good sense of humour
