HLTA English - Permanent Contract
Stratford School Academy is seeking an organised, proactive and dedicated individual to join the English department. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of the department within a busy and vibrant 2-site secondary-school Academy in Newham, East London.
The successful candidate will be working under the instruction and supervision of the Head of English. The post holder will deliver Literacy and intervention lessons to pupils in years 7 to 11 who the Academy has identified as needing to improve their literacy skills. The groups will range from small (around 6 pupils) to whole classes. The post holder will also assist teachers in their classes and supervise one of the Academy's intervention rooms.
The working hours for the role are 33hrs 45mins per week; term-time only (39 working weeks including twilights, or hours worked in lieu of twilights, where appropriate).
