About this role
37.5 hours per week term time only (34 weeks term time plus attendance at INSET and Safeguarding training)
8.30am to 4.30pm Monday to Friday
£22,036 per annum (pro rata of £29,717 )
Sibford School are seeking an experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to ensure that SEND provision is efficiently and effectively managed across the School under the leadership and guidance of the SENCO.
The successful candidate must have the following:
HLTA status or equivalent qualification/experience
GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths at Grade C/4 or above
Relevant SEND training or demonstrable experience supporting pupils with SEND
Experience of working with children or young people with SEND
Experience of delivering interventions (1:1 and small group)
Experience of working collaboratively with teachers and support staff
Experience of monitoring and recording pupil progress
Understanding of SEND legislation and statutory requirements (e.g. SEND Code of Practice)
Knowledge of a range of SEND needs and effective strategies to support them
Understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures
Experience of working in a school setting (primary or secondary)) or supporting pupils with EHCPs and/or complex needs would be an advantage but not essential as training and mentoring can be provided.
