About this role

HLTA – Full Time (34 hours), term time only, Permanent. Salary: SFCA Support Pay Scale Point 10 – 13 – £27,733 – £30,444 giving a pro rata salary of £21,366 – £23,454LSA – Full Time (32 hours), term time only, Permanent. Salary: SFCA Support Pay Scale Point 5 – £25,159 giving a pro rata salary of £18,242. We are seeking to appoint a dedicated and enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) and/or Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to support teaching and learning across the college.The HLTA will be allocated a specialist focus area (e.g. Level 2, Literacy and Numeracy, or Vocational subjects) and will work closely with teaching staff, curriculum leads and the Academic Progress and SEND Manager to enhance student progress, engagement, and achievement.The LSA role involves the key provision of in class support for students, working alongside their tutor to raise standards and maximise their potential.HLTA candidates will have experience supporting learners in an FE or Secondary setting, with the ability to work independently and adapt to provide bespoke interventions. Previous teaching experience and knowledge of SEND strategies and inclusive practices are desirable.Candidates will be committed to our ethos with a desire to contribute to the College’s continuing success.
