You will need to show a high degree of initiative and be solution focussed. It would also be beneficial to have experience of working with children with complex needs.

At the Link Academy Trust, our people are at the heart of everything we do. We prioritise wellbeing, celebrate individuality, and recognise the vital contribution every colleague makes.

We are a collaborative, values‑driven family of small, nurturing, community‑focused schools, where no one works in isolation. Our schools work closely together in geographical clusters, sharing expertise, resources, and innovation, while also benefiting from the strength and support of the wider network of schools. This is an inspiring, supportive place to build your career, where you can flourish, feel valued, and make a meaningful difference every day.

We offer you the support of clear systems, protocols, expectations and structures to help you to succeed. You will need to show initiative, creativity and demonstrate the aptitude to work as part of a successful and growing team to improve the life chances of our pupils and make every child feel special.

Ideally, you will:

  • Understand that children communicate in a variety of ways and we have a responsibility to meet the needs of all learners
  • Have HLTA experience and/or equivalent qualifications
  • Have excellent literacy and numeracy skills (A-C GCSE or equivalent)
  • Be able to build positive relationships with children, staff and parents
  • Have high expectations of children’s behaviour and be able to maintain consistent boundaries
  • Be willing to work collaboratively as part of a team
  • Be energetic, positive and enthusiastic

What we can offer you:

  • Salary Sacrifice offers, including Bike2Work, Tech Scheme and Gym Membership
  • Substantial workplace pension
  • Term time ‘Give Back Day’ to take for personal reasons
  • Staff Wellbeing support
  • CPD opportunities for all staff

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people, and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. A DBS disclosure and Social Media online check is required for this post.
