Job Title: Higher Level Teaching Assistant - Personal Development and Future Pathways
Location: Brick Lane School, London E2 6DY
Salary: £26,250 per annum (not pro rata)
Hours: 37.5 hours per week | Monday to Friday | 8.00am - 4.00pm
Contract: Permanent | Term Time Only
Start: November 2026

We're looking for an enthusiastic, compassionate and motivated Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated team and play a key role in helping pupils develop the confidence, independence and life skills they need to succeed.
This is far more than a traditional HLTA role. Alongside supporting high-quality teaching and learning, you'll lead our Personal Development & Future Pathways programme, inspiring pupils to explore future careers, develop essential life skills and prepare for adulthood with confidence.

What You’ll Do
Deliver engaging learning activities to individuals, small groups and whole classes, including providing classroom cover when required.
Plan, prepare and deliver meaningful interventions that support pupils' academic, social, emotional and behavioural development.
Work alongside teachers, therapists and the wider multidisciplinary team to implement personalised learning strategies and EHCP outcomes.
Create a positive, nurturing and inclusive learning environment where every pupil feels valued, safe and supported to succeed.
Lead the school's Personal Development & Future Pathways programme, delivering engaging lessons in Careers, Enterprise, Employability and Independent Living Skills.
