Part-Time, Permanent, required for 1 September 2026, 27.5 hours per week, 39 weeks per year (5 days per week, term time only)

The Brittons Academy wish to appoint a dynamic, enthusiastic and high calibre HLTA who will be committed to supporting students with SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disability). The successful candidate will be a practitioner who is committed to helping students achieve their best academically as well as socially. Experience of working with children with complex needs is essential.
The successful candidate will have:
-Experience of working with children with complex needs is essential
-Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) qualification is required
-Effective communication skills
-Ability to adapt or modify interactions to meet pupil needs
-Ability to summarise and present information from observations of pupil performance
-Effective time management, planning and collaboration
-Ability to provide a structured activity within a group setting
-Group dynamics and how to apply them
-Obtain and interpret information on pupils’ literacy/numeracy skills, individual learning targets and specific support needs
-Ability to recognise the range and implications of factors that impact pupil behaviour
-Minimum GCSE Maths and English or equivalent
