This role is for an experienced Religious Studies teacher to lead teaching across Key Stages 3–5, line-manage a small department and contribute as a form tutor on a 60% timetable. There is a clear route to increase hours by delivering HPQ/EPQ and/or coordinating the ECT programme.

What you'll be doing
Teach RS across KS3, GCSE (AQA A: Christianity and Islam) and A level (Edexcel: Philosophy of Religion, Ethics, Christianity).
Lead the RS department: curriculum planning, assessment, reporting, quality assurance and line-managing department staff.
Set and mark work in line with school policy; use assessment to inform teaching and track pupil progress.
Work with SEN and support staff to meet diverse learner needs; ensure differentiation and inclusion.
Act as a Form Tutor: oversee attendance, behaviour, progress monitoring and parent communication for your tutees.
Contribute to extra-curricular life: trips, enrichment activities and lunchtime clubs as appropriate.
Support professional development in the department, including mentoring NQTs/ECTs if required.
Maintain professional standards: participate in appraisal, CPD and whole-school duties as required.
