We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Head of Physical Education (PE) to lead our PE department. This middle leadership role offers the opportunity to shape the PE curriculum, inspire students, and contribute significantly to their physical development and overall wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, manage, and develop the PE department ensuring high standards of teaching and learning.
- Plan, implement, and evaluate a comprehensive PE curriculum that meets national standards.
- Promote physical health, fitness, teamwork, and sportsmanship among students.
- Support staff professional development within the department.
- Organise extracurricular activities including sports teams, competitions, and events.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience teaching Physical Education at secondary school level KS3-5.
- Strong knowledge of the UK National Curriculum for PE as well as current best practices in physical education pedagogy.
- Excellent organisational skills with ability to manage resources effectively.
- Ability to motivate both staff and students towards achieving excellence in sport & physical activity.
