Head of PE and Games

Bassett House is seeking to appoint an energetic and inspiring Head of PE and Games to lead sport across the whole school. This is a significant opportunity to build on the contribution of a long-standing member of staff and to shape the next phase of PE, Games and fixtures at Bassett. Sport is valued highly by children and parents alike, and we are keen to appoint someone who will raise its profile further as a joyful, ambitious and visible part of school life. The successful candidate will lead the PE and Games curriculum from Nursery to Year 6, ensuring that pupils develop confidence, skill, teamwork and a genuine love of physical activity. Bassett is proudly co-educational, and we are looking for someone committed both to broad participation and to competitive opportunity: a teacher who understands that excellence and inclusion can, and should, sit comfortably together. This role includes responsibility for fixtures, clubs, house competitions and the use of local facilities, including Kensington Memorial Park. The post would suit a warm, organised and highly motivated teacher who enjoys building relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues, and who will bring energy, clarity and ambition to sport at Bassett House.
