Role Overview:
As the Head of PE & Games, you will be responsible for planning, delivering, and leading high-quality physical education lessons that promote health, fitness, teamwork, and enjoyment among our youngest students. You will also oversee the development of games activities within the curriculum while supporting colleagues in embedding best practices across the school.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years teaching experience in primary physical education
- Qualified teacher status with relevant certification
- Strong knowledge of Key Stage 1 curriculum requirements for PE
- Ability to plan creative and inclusive lessons that cater to diverse learner needs
- Excellent communication skills with children, parents, and staff
- Leadership skills with experience managing or coordinating teams preferred
- Competence in organising extracurricular sports activities or events
