Main Duties and Responsibilities
Provide the strategic input and vision into the development plan for Little Owls Nursery
Work with our marketing team to ensure the nursery remains over subscribed.
To effectively manage the day-day running of the nursery.
To provide professional leadership, including compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements.
To ensure Scarborough College delivers the highest standards of care and education for all the children in Little Owls.
Key Responsibilities
Recruiting, mentoring, and managing the continuous development of nursery practitioners
Designing and implementing play-based learning and outdoor education to ensure children meet early learning goals.
Establish a constructive relationship with all children and their families.
Work with external agencies to support the development of all children.
Plan themes and activities.
Assess children’s progress and contribute to home-school books, observations, EYFS profiles and on-track learning journeys and other pupil records.
Process and submit EYFS funding claims, ensuring compliance with local authority requirements and accurate funding for eligible children.
Participate in training, learning activities and other CPD.
Be aware of, and comply with all EYFS guidelines and regulations
Run team and staff meetings.
Be proactive in matters relating to health and safety.
