About this role
We are seeking a Head of Music to cover a period of maternity, starting in January 2027.
The role would suit someone inspiring, positive, and fun combined with the warmth and charisma to engage the entire school community. If you love the holistic, bustling nature of independent school life, including the after-school commitments, you will fit right in.
You cannot hide behind a desk in this role. With two major productions a year, weekly hymn practices, assemblies and frequent tea-time concerts, this role is tailor-made for an excellent keyboard player who thrives under pressure. If you can sight-read flawlessly, accompany nervous children on the fly, and conduct a choir from the piano, you will love this job.
If you believe in the power of early childhood to spark a lifelong love of music, value strong relationships with families, and are motivated by the opportunity to contribute to something truly meaningful, we would be delighted to hear from you.
