Egypt British International School (EBIS) is seeking a qualified and experienced Head of Mathematics (Whole School) to join our team for the 2026 academic year, aligned with our mission of Enriching – Exploring – Excelling and our core values of enrichment, empowerment, esteem, and excellence.
We are looking for a passionate and knowledgeable leader committed to raising standards in Mathematics across all key stages while supporting students’ academic, social, and emotional development within a nurturing, culturally grounded British-curriculum environment. The successful candidate will inspire confidence, critical thinking, problem-solving, and a deep understanding of mathematical concepts in learners across the school.
Requirements:
● Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field with recognised Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
● A minimum of 5 years of successful teaching experience, preferably within an international British-curriculum context.
● Proven leadership experience (e.g., Head of Department, Key Stage Coordinator, or similar role).
● Strong subject knowledge in Mathematics aligned with the UK National Curriculum across key stages (KS1–KS3 preferred).
● Demonstrated ability to lead curriculum development, assessment strategies, and departmental improvement planning.
● Expertise in delivering engaging, student-centred lessons and modelling outstanding teaching practice.
● Skilled in positive behaviour management that promotes respect, resilience, and a culture of learning.
● Experience using formative and summative assessment, as well as data analysis, to drive student progress and attainment.
● Proven ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, leadership, students, and families.
