About this Role Deyes High School is seeking an exceptional and ambitious Head of Geography to lead a thriving and popular department. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced teacher or current middle leader to take the next step in their career, leading a committed team and driving high standards of teaching, learning and student achievement across Key Stages 3–5. You will be accountable for: Leading and developing the Geography curriculum Raising standards of attainment and progress Managing and developing staff within the department Ensuring high-quality teaching, assessment and curriculum delivery Contributing to whole-school improvement priorities About the Department Established, successful team of 5 Geography specialists Strong uptake at GCSE and A-Level (300+ GCSE students) Well-resourced and housed in a new state-of-the-art building Part of a wider Humanities faculty with strong collaboration The department offers a broad, engaging curriculum designed to develop curiosity about the world and a deep understanding of human and physical geography.
