Key responsibilities include: • Leading and managing the English department, ensuring high-quality curriculum planning and delivery • Monitoring standards of teaching, learning, assessment, and student progress across the department • Supporting, mentoring, and developing English teachers through coaching and professional development • Ensuring effective use of assessment data to inform planning and raise attainment • Contributing to whole-school initiatives and working collaboratively with senior leaders • Promoting a positive reading, writing, and oracy culture across the school • Overseeing curriculum development across KS3, IGCSE, and A Level where applicable • Ensuring excellent student outcomes and maintaining high expectations throughout the department We are looking for candidates who: • Hold a recognised teaching qualification (PGCE/QTS or equivalent) • Have a degree in English or a related field • Have a minimum of 5 years’ teaching experience within the British
