Position: Head of Drama Education Stage: Secondary (Key Stage 3 & 4) Immanuel College is a vibrant and inclusive secondary school located in the United Kingdom, committed to providing high-quality education and fostering creativity among our students. We are currently seeking a passionate and enthusiastic Head of Drama. Job Description: As the Head of Drama, you will be responsible for leading and developing the drama curriculum at Key Stage 3 & 4. You will inspire students to explore their creativity through performance and theatre studies while managing departmental resources and supporting colleagues within the performing arts team. Skills and Qualifications: - A strong passion for drama and performing arts - Ability to engage, motivate, and inspire secondary school students - Good organisational skills with an ability to manage time effectively - Strong communication skills for working with students, staff, and parents - Willingness to develop leadership skills as head of department - Basic understanding or willingness to learn about Key Stage 4 drama curriculum requirements - Relevant qualifications in drama or performing arts are desirable but not essential Values and Attitudes: - Commitment to creating an inclusive learning environment where all students feel valued - Enthusiasm for encouraging student creativity, confidence, and self-expression through drama - Openness to collaboration with colleagues across departments - Dedication to continuous professional development - Positive attitude towards challenges with resilience and adaptability If you are eager to start your career in education leadership within a supportive community that values innovation in teaching performing arts, we would love to hear from you.
